I love to travel. If my kids were going to college, I would tell them to skip it and take a month traveling through Europe. Well, such is the case with Jill & Cody. They have travelled through many continents together as a couple. There is nothing more trying as travel and this couple have survived many airport check-ins. As I was photographing them, we spent our time talking in Spanish, a language that come from a country both of us have visited. It turns out that the couple chose a fabulous location for their honeymoon, Hawaii. They also chose the “Longlook Farm” in Sanbornton, NH as their venue of choice for their wedding. It is a hidden paradise amid top of a mountain overlooking a valley. The cyan and orange color pallet resonated through out the event which including Cody’s cyan tie. The wedding party consisted of 16 including the couple, ring bearer, and flower girl. The warm, but not unbearable weather, added to the excitement of the day. Soon, it was time to get married and they “tied the knot” amongst family and friends. After the ceremony, we did the typical formal shots of the wedding party and family members. I also had the pleasure of photographing their first portraits as a married couple. Then came time for the introductions at the reception. If you were there, you also would have felt the love all the family and friends felt for these two. The couple opted out of a cake but instead had cup cakes. Later on, I took advantage of the night fall and did dusk photos. The evening closed with the couple making “light hearts” with sparklers. To quote One of my favorite composers Andrew Lloyd Wright, “To the power of the music that I write, The power of the music of the night“.
